into you

confidence is sexy.

not arrogance, mind you. nor presumptuousness.

knowing what you want, and risking failure–so admirable. flying in the face of logic is the only way to make progress. convention only reflects established knowledge. invention requires stepping outside of the known.

being daring does not assure attainment of a pre-determined outcome. but all the action happens outside of our comfort zones. and we all live in a world of intrigue. sometimes, we lose sight of that.

dare yourself to keep taking chances. remind yourself that you are alive. venture forth and find yourself in the journey.

you’d be surprised to discover the infinite power you hold. and find your curiosity piqued, imagining the outer limits.

you might imagine…

…that pursuit of intimacy is the province of men.

but the fairer sex of our species holds all of the cards in the game. it’s been said that “we chase women until they catch us.”

it’s all really a dance. we’ve been socialized into roles, but everyone has desires.

it’s easy to hide behind love to justify longing. but when it comes to sensuality, there’s no sin in sheer enjoyment for its own sake. is there?

maybe you do love that person who thrills you. maybe the thrills made you love that person.

maybe you love the thrills?

here’s a sonic thesis on the same topic, and you can add it to your music collection at no cost. download, and name your price $0.00 for more moonlight teases in your catalog:

and if you decide to throw a few pence in, no one will hold you back…

once upon a time…

in Venice, Italy, a couple of guys were toying around with the MPC3000.

they were part of a live band, and decided to fuse electronic methods with analog instrumentation.

the method was by no means original or groundbreaking. but the mode of expression was arguably so.

the guys incorporated Ableton Live, learned it on the fly. programmed some drums, constructed a synth bass line on top. threw in some MIDI keyboard sounds, and hooked up an electric guitar to layer in some effected licks.

the vocalist jumped in the shower, and as the water flowed off the top of his dome so did the concept and lyric.

the moon began to set, and he immediately laid down the reference vocals. the melody, verses and raps in this rough mix were exactly what made the final release intact. the guys threw some veggies and fruit in the juicer, swigged the serum and called it a day.

musicians are often thought of as having the “pick of the litter,” access to sensual encounters by virtue of being on stage and in the public eye. but more often than not, love goes unrequited. and a poet can often feel like petals–plucked from the stem and left to drift to the ground.

but they don’t mind if you choose to make a small contribution…
